Well Mr. Ed, lame you say? Lack of participation huh? How many discussions have you initiated? The only one I can find is this one in which you are insulting the rest of us. Shame on you.
So I kindly suggest you come with a discussion that would be deemed by you to be worth while and we will see who responds. Make it a good one! :) We will be waiting.
OK ,,,this page is workin for me now...got an accurate weather update!I have been had! You get the humor award of the week.
Ok you got a chuckle from me, a couple new posts to the board, (that no one is going find terribly interesting), so I am still waiting for you to start what you think will be an interesting discussion. Let's see your genius :)
When is the weather not interesting?
You can always suggest features as well. I'd be happy to put up any RSS feeds anybody wants.
I think he means like a weather updater or the like on the page, although maybe i'm off on that.
Seems like a funny issue to have differences of opinion on, but I think you could make the argument that the weather is important every day. On a purely personal level, it changes my mood. Sometimes if I'm feeling a little down it makes me happy to have a nice miserable day (like a blizzard). It makes me feel like others might have to suffer along with me. And most people like a nice bright day.
Environmentally and agriculturally, though, the weather is hugely important. The climate is changing and the effects of that are everywhere, especially in the weather. A hundred years ago, when we were all a little closer to the food we ate and the farmers who grew it, we understood that every day - whether it was warm, dry, wet or col - played a role in what quality and quantity we were going to be fed. Farmers and those who are dependent on their own land for food are still aware of this. Usually I'm not. I'm too busy buying Chilean grapes in January and feeling proud that I have fresh fruit.
