I try to do all of my Muskegon trips on Dr. days, since my dr. is in Muskegon. We eat out at cheaper places...I got rid of my DSL/PHONE/CABLE bundling from Charter which was beginning to run in to arund 90 bucks a month, and had the DSL turned back…

Allen Means said… - That sounds like an extremely boring baseball game. I just went sailing and it was a blast. The wind was perfect. I went hiking off the sail boat. If you don't know what hiking is, it's where you put on a harness and hook a cable on which is attached to the boat and you can hang off the side of the boat without holding on to anything other than the cable which is attached to your harness. Anyway, I better get going. I hope this doesn't replace our normal form of communication since I am downstairs and you are upstairs.

- Go Tigers! It was getting depressing with the way the Detroit Tigers have been playing, but lately their play has been encouraging. Wow, Marcus Thames has been carrying the team with his home run bombs. It's great that he finally has gotten a chance to play regularly. I'm looking forward to the series against St. Louis beginning tonight. A sweep would move the Tigers' record to .500. It Detroit can improve to .500 or better by the All-Star break, I think they will be in the thick of the playoff race by the end of the season, if they don't have more key injuries. My favorite Tiger? It's Curtis Granderson. What a talent and such a hard worker!

On Vacation
Well, Terri and I just arrived at our destination for three days. Houghton Lake! Actually, East Bay Lodge in Prudenville. It's a rustic lodge with a lot of character. One greeted at the desk. We didn't have to sign in. He just handed us a key and gave quick directions to our room. We asked when breakfast is available. He said it starts at 6:45 a.m. when he gets here and ends at 7:15 a.m. When Terri asked, really? He replied, "She needs a vacation." Here we go!

Can't get much better than this
I'm now at McDonald's with my son, Allen, just enjoying Cinnamon Melts, coffee and the Free Press. Guess what? the front page of Saturday's Free Press had a headline on ROTHBURY! - 'Good Vibes in Rothbury'. Inside there is a story and photo, The festival sure has put our area on the map.
