Your post makes a lot of sense. It is a terrible economy. You have the right guidelines for the family: dinner together, mom and dad together.
Yet this decision will last forever. Government programs are never rescinded.

Shouldn't the question be, "What do 4- and 5-year old children need?" Rather than "What do parents need?"
I can appreciate that parents would receive a great break, but I'm not convinced that young ones should be in group care for such long hours.
